Laminate is normally bought in complete cartons. HomeCalc calculates the room area, adds an allowance for cuts and then divides by the square-foot coverage of the chosen laminate carton.

Is laminate waste the same for every room?
No. Straight rectangular rooms are usually more efficient than rooms with many corners, doorways or angled cuts.
Should I include closets?
Yes if they will be covered with the same laminate.
Does this calculator include underlayment?
It estimates laminate surface material. Underlayment should be planned separately unless your product has it attached.
