What to check before using the result
- Measure closets and connected areas that will receive the same flooring.
- Use the carton coverage, not an assumed number of planks.
- Staggered layouts and narrow end cuts can increase offcuts.
- Check whether underlayment is attached or needs to be calculated separately.
A mathematical result can include a fraction of a box, but purchasing cannot. The calculator rounds up so the order contains enough complete cartons to cover the adjusted area.
