What to check before using the result
- Use average depth when the pool has a shallow and deep end.
- Measure water dimensions rather than external deck or coping dimensions.
- Irregular freeform pools can differ from simple geometric estimates.

Using only the deepest point can significantly overstate capacity. For a simple slope, an average of shallow and deep depths is a more representative planning input.
