Does the calculator include the paver base?
No. It estimates paver units for the surface. Base stone, bedding sand and joint material should be calculated separately.
Should I subtract small gaps between pavers?
Usually not for purchase planning. Manufacturer coverage or actual paver face size plus an allowance is more practical.
Why does the result round up?
You cannot buy a fraction of a paver, so the final piece count must be a whole number.
